CLIENT COnTEXT

BURN or Birmingham Urban Rhythm Network, founded by Steve Clarke, has served young people in the local area by creating a neutral, safe space away from potential dangerous situations, for them to explore music and express themselves. Their base, The Lighthouse has meant that BURN are familiar among the locals and stands to represent all that they value.

  • THE EXISTING BRAND WASN’T APPROPRIATE FOR ALL THE REALMS THAT IT NEEDED TO EXIST IN. IT SPOKE TO YOUTH BUT NOT TO OTHER BUSINESSES. WE CREATED A BRAND THAT’S ADAPTABLE TO THE MANY DIFFERENT CHANNELS THAT THE BRAND HAS GROWN INTO; COMMUNICATING WITH LOCAL YOUNG PEOPLE, AS WELL AS, BIGGER ORGANISATIONS, GOVERNMENT TEAMS AND INVESTORS.

  • BURN NEEDED TO HAVE CREATIVE OPTIONS AND KEY MESSAGING THAT WOULD WORK IN VARIOUS FORMATS; DOCUMENTS, DIGITAL AND PRINT, PRESENTATIONS TO LOCAL GOVERNMENT, SOCIAL MEDIA, PROPOSALS AND EVERYTHING IN BETWEEN.

  • BURN FOUNDER, STEVE HAS BECOME SYNONYMOUS WITH THE ORGANISATION, AS A FACE OF THE CHARITY HE’S CONSISTENTLY ENGAGED WITH THE YOUNG PEOPLE BURN HELPS. HOWEVER, AS THE ORGANISATION GROWS IT NEEDS TO STAND ON IT’S OWN FEET, BE ITS OWN ENTITY, WITH OR WITHOUT HIM AT THE FOREFRONT. WE CREATED A BRAND STRATEGY THAT PUTS STEVE’S PASSION, DEDICATION AND BELIEFS AT THE CORE OF THE BRAND WHILST ALLOWING THE BRAND TO TAKE ON ITS OWN IDENTITY.
